Stroke success rate? |
My Grandma was admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago after a stroke she has paralis on her right side and her speech is poor, she was admitted within an hour of having the stroke what are the changes are her making a full recovery, she had the clot not the bleed stroke??? My Grandma is 82 and never been in hospital before never have a full recovery, maybe partial recovery of some of the effected things. she might get some of her speech back, but not fully, she will have some memory loss, and find it hard to remember things or words. and she will be more perceptible to having another stroke. Early admittance , and age seem to be a major factor in a good recovery , state of mind also plays a role , the patient has to be willing to under take months of phiso and speech therapy ,if necessary , wishing her a full recovery , Very sorry to hear that. Very few if any people make a full recovery from stroke |
