Heat Stroke, How to prevent?

My family, relatives and I are taking a motercycle trip down to Texas (we live in Minnesota) for my cousins wedding. What are some tips from not getting heat stroke?

drink plently of water! stay in the shade and cool places if you are outside

Drink plenty of water. Heat stroke is caused when the brain's natural thermometer fails to work, usually following heat exhaustion. If you feel yourself becoming tired/weary, drink some water with salt in it. One teaspoon of salt in a litre of water is the recommended mixture. But until then just make sure you drink loads of water

off hand, hydrate drink plenty of water, wear hats or visors, wear light colored clothes, try to stay out of the heat as much as possible, be in air conditioned places
