Can having a mild stroke change your personality at all?

Is this change just temporary or can it be permanent? If temporary how long 6 months, 1 year?

I can't seem to find any conclusive information on this anywhere.

Yes, it can. It depends on the area & the severity of the damage from the stroke.
And, perhaps on the after-care of the patient. You might want to read:

Yes it can. There's a documentary about it in National Geographic. It's part of a series regarding the brain. Unfortunately, I forgot the exact series. What I remember is that there's a neurologist, who after a stroke, began writing and writing. There's also someone, after a stroke, began painting. He was never a painter, but now, he became a professional painter because of the stroke..

I'd say it definitely can. A stroke is generally associated with the damage it does to the brain. Brain damage, you know? It can make you forget your past, go blind, or re-wire your behavioral patterns.
