Your symptoms sound an awful lot like pain referring from tight muscles on the right side of your neck and shoulder, and or a slight nerve impingement. Call your doctor's office and describe the symptoms and see what they have to say. A headache associated with a stroke is a whopper of a headache.
Try heat on your neck and shoulders and stretch out the right side of your neck and see if anything changes.

No, it sounds like a migraine. Unless you have profound numbness on one side of your body.....take some Excedrin.
It does, but it is probably more likely a migraine. This is how I was first diagnosed 10+years ago...I thought I was having a stroke. It was just the initial "aura" before the headache actually came. See your Dr. for sure on this. He can determine if it's a migraine fairly easily, and prescribe meds to help. I couldn't live without mine.
Signs and symptoms of CVA(stroke) are altered mental status,
numbness/weakness in hands, arms, legs or feet. Weak or unequal grip strength in hands. Slurred speech, unequal smile. A person may have one or all of these symptoms. Usually sudden onset.
No, a stroke almost always includes altered consciousness levels (minimum of confusion). If this is not the case I would go with a migraine...;
