Does high blood pressure always precede a heart attack or stroke? |
I'm under my doctor's care for pregnancy-induced hypertension, so my BP is checked regularly and has been fine recently. If my BP is fine, can I quit worrying about waking up in the middle of the night with a stroke or heart attack? Sign me, Paranoid Momma-to-Be stroke has nothing to do with high blood pressure, just relax, i have 3 kids and had a hole in the heart operation when i was 6, they told me i could nt have kids cos of my heart, i have always had high blood pressure, had 3 kids naturally but had drugs to calm my heart down after i had had them, technology is brilliant nowadays and you will be fine, relax , stop worrying and u will be fine good luck If your blood pressure if monitored and if you are doing exactly what you are told by your doctor (take the meds, diets, etc...) then you should not have anything to worry about. Worrying too much may increase your blood pressure due to stress than actually helping you. Relax, get the right amount of execise a day, eat well, monitor your blood pressure are what you can do to help your condition. Not always. My dad had a stroke and his blood pressure was fine. I feel so bad for you. I've been in your shoes. Paronoid as hell. It happened shortly after my mom died of a stroke, when I was told, my blood pressure was high too. I take my medication and I'm fine and so will you. Relax and stop taking your blood pressure, lol |
