I care for a girl of 28 who keeps having stroke type symptoms? |
for the past 9 months she has been in pain in her body has like stroke efects seems to go into comas tingling in her body, stutters but the hospital cannot find what is wrong with her can anyone help Could it be epilepsy? Has she seen a neurologist? sounds like some kind of fit has she been to see a dr??? Could it be siezures, and doesnt she go to the doctors? I would assume the hospital has checked that out seeing it is the most obvious. I would get other opinions, the poor thing! Has she also been under a lot of stress just before this all started? Our bodies can do really weird things if we are under stress for a long period of time. And probably worrying about what on earth is actually wrong with her is also not doing her any good at all. I hope that they manage to discover what is wrong & how to treat it soon. I don't know if any of these will help you: http://deptmed.queensu.ca/clerkship/asse... http://www.merck.com/mmhe/index/ind_st.h... and this site has an online medical diagonosis: http://www.medical-library.org/mddx_inde... Good luck & please wish her all the best I had a good friend who had the same thing happen to her, as it turns out she has MS. She really needs to see a neurologist (sp?) Strokes don't only affect old people, they can affect young people too. Does sound alot like epilepsy, could also be what are known as 'TIAs' - 'Transient Ischaemic Attacks', could be any number of neurological, toxicological, physiological conditions. Without seeing exactly what goes on, no-one can say exactly what the problem is. Safest option : She needs to be properly assessed by her doctor/hospital and see a specialist sooner rather than later. It can take time to make a definitive diagnosis, so follow-up appointments at hospitals or with doctors should be attended if recommended. |
