Are there degrees of strokes? Are there always side effects?
Strokes can be mild or major, so can effects. Mini-strokes usually have temporary side effects, but the whoppers that leave people paralyzed are often permanent. Strokes on left side of brain affect right side of body, and usually the person can no longer speak at all if the stroke is moderate to severe. Strokes on right side of brain affect left side of body, and usually the person can speak words but they are all mixed up.
yes but some may not manifest themselves at once, they have a medication that can limit the effects if given within the first hour of the stroke.. see a doc or look up diseases on line..
