What are some of the indications that a person has allowed substance abuse to control his or her life?

Not going to work, avoiding certain friends, asking for money, losing or gaining weight, never home, a change in personality, manipulative

Some classic signs include withdrawal from normal, everyday activity; general signs of anxiety (nervousness, restlessness, inability to sit still). If they don't get their "fix" in a certain amount of time, they may experience nausea, clammy skin, sweating, and may bounce their legs around uncontrollably.
