How might a substance abuse counselor use research collection methods to gather information about clients? There are several forms a client fills out before therapy...basic information such as sex, age, etc. That information is summarized (already) in agencies that are part of social services. A waiver is signed along with those forms when a client first enters those agencies. Data is summarized for a group, no information is reported on an individual, thus not violating the privacy act, nor APA confidentiality agreements. (psychologist) http://answercrazy.ugo.si |
