Online sources on the topic of how childhood can affect one's future of substance abuse?

Hi I need to write a research paper for my substance abuse psychology class. I am having loads of trouble finding sources though. My topic is how an individual's childhood might cause, contribute or reduce the possibility of future substance abuse problems. Basically, how might one's childhood affect their future using habits. I need all my sources to be accessible online. If anyone could please provide me with links directly to sources or online zines/article archives i could search! Thanks!

Here are a couple of sources. Your childhood is where the example of "normal" is set. If you grow up watching your daddy beat your mama, you grow up thinking it is normal for men to beat up women. Likewise, the example of drugs being normal is established. Watching the drug dealers having money and gold and girlfriends and cars and wanting what they have entices young men to do what he does to get what he's got. If you have only bad examples to follow, how do you know that there are other choices to be made?

How do you know that chocolate is a choice if you've only been given vanilla ice cream your whole life? You only know what you know. The kids who are exposed to many ideas and choices through good parenting, good examples, books, education, etc. know that they have *many* choices, drugs & crime being only a small fraction.

Best to you.
