I am a substance abuse counselor and i want to get certification to start my own counseling biz. hOW DO I?

I WANT TO GET MY ANGER MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE AND PARENTING AND CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY AND I WANT TO START MY OWN CENTER WHER DO I START.

Colleges have people of your same interests. Sometimes taking up a few classes just to meet other people is a very good place to start. Just remember, not everything comes at instances. It may take you a few years to complete your goals, but if you stay focused you can accomplish them.

You will most likely want other people at your side. Creating a foundation of sorts will not be an easy task. Make sure you have your legalities covered as any type of counseling business will need. However, you could accomplish this fairly easy and by yourself.

You will obviously need clients. Building a business is much like building a website. You can't just build one and expect people to just fall upon it. You must do the research on how to get people to come and visit your business.

All in all, my best suggestion would be to go to college and gain a baccalaureate degree in psychology. The more you know about how the mind works the better off you will be. During the tenure at college will give you enough time to focus on the other things I have mentioned. Get yourself organized and when you gain an associates degree I do believe you may be ready to start taking in clients on your spare time. Just remember schooling is very important in any occupation, but those that deal with people and the way they act and react toward different things you will see that schooling is imperative.

Well I am pretty sure you have to get your BA in conseling. And thats about it...
