What is a possible health consequence for sexually active teens? |
What is a possible health consequence for sexually active teens? Death. I know it's harsh, but there is always that one person who had sex once and got a horrible STD such as AIDS. Practice safe sex, like using condoms, even during oral sex and anal sex, don't have multiple partners, get tested to make sure you haven't contracted any disease. HIV std herpes STD,HIV, death. Wear a condom Aside from sexually transmitted infections and diseases? I would consider emotional issues to be a possible health consequence - girls in particular, who are sexually active with many partners, are more susceptible to depression than those who are not active. That said, if you are sexually active, that's okay - but be safe, use condoms as well as another form of birth control if possible, be sure to get tested every 6 months, and be monogamous. Think about how you would be as a parent at this age because no matter what form of birth control you use it could happen, are you ready? Also the sexually transmitted diseases and last but certainly not least HIV. physically you have the same consequences that adults: you might increase your risk of sexually tansmissible diseases unless you use regularly (every time!) condoms. You also have the same risk as an adult for unwanted pregnancy. I would also say that, since you are psychically more sensible as a teen, you might make unpleasant experiences which might leave a sign for a longer time. Having an enjoyable sex life depends very much on mutual understanding with your partner and on a high level of trust. I had sex rather young, my partner was young an inexperienced too and we were not so close as we thought. I did not like it at all, but I was unable to find out together with him how to make it better. pregnancy, stds, self-esteem issues, death |
