Do you have any health issues about whether teens should be able to get birth control without thier parents? |
Do you have any health issues about whether teens should be able to get birth control without thier parents? I don't have any issues with it. I would rather my child be on birth control than to be pregnant with a child that I have to help take care of. Even if she were to go behind my back and do it, at least she has enough sense to keep herself from taking on a lifetime responsibility that she cannot handle. In Australia, a teenager is able to get birth control without their parents knowing about it. However; I think that this is a tragedy and means that there is poor communication between the teenager and the parents. This is something we see more and more frequently with family breakdowns and a nuclear family model. dont do anything esp.sex without ur parents advice teens with birth control are an std waiting to happen. Unless there is a monogamous committed relationship birth control just gives teens the idea that they can have sex without a condom and oh boy is that scary. Lets face it teens are going to have sex, unfortunately and I do believe in their right to privacy however teens are not yet adults until their brilliant 18th birthday and until that time I think parents should be involved to make sure there is an understanding that while a baby may seem like A life sentence to a teenager it is not as deadly as aids. |
