Help. if this trichomoniasis?

i thought it was a yeast infection. but i tried to cure it with a cream. have only had sex with one person, and we both were eachothers first over a year ago, and i ahve never had any problems like this. my vulva is dry and chapped and it looks like there is tiny cracks/cuts in it. i have yellow discharge that is fairly thick and has slight odor. if anyone has had this please help me out!i have a gyno appointment this friday but i get paranoid when i cant figure things out, and friday was the earliest appointment they had.

It is most likely an infection, but I would think it was bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection that did not respond to the treatment. Trich is not that common, and the only way you could get it was if your boyfriend had had other partners or you had been with someone else. Discharge from trich is usually greenish, if that is any help. I wish you luck and relief! Good for you for seeing your doc. Untreated vaginal infections can lead to bigger problems.
Go to a walk in clinic NOW. Whatever it is it needs some meds I think!
Why wait till Friday for an appointment? Why not call your regular doc and see if they can't see you sooner? Left untreated certain vaginal infections can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which is dangerous. Call your regular doc and get this checked out. Also in the future do not try to self diagnose a vaginal infection as you need to see a doc to get a proper diagnosis so you know what medication to use.
I used to get it often when I was a young adult between the ages of 20 and 25. I have never heard of a greenish discharge, mine was yellow also. I don't recall any cracks or cuts, but oh my, the itching!! It was suggested that tight pant/jeans could be a culprit. Don't wear them, and wear underpants with a cotton crotch. Neither I nor my husband had other partners. We were young and too much into US. To help the itching, pick up some LotriminAF. I know that it says for athlete's foot, but that is exactly what the doctor told me to use. And of course, I was taking an antibiotic too. I used to squat in a lukewarm, almost cool bath water. These are only going to give you temporary relief. But temporary relief is better than none at all.
Other than discharge, and an odor, or fish like smell, trichamonas is hard to diagnose unless seen on a wet mount slide. Signs and symptoms of infection range from having no symptoms (asymptomatic) to very symptomatic. Typical symptoms include foul smelling or frothy green discharge from the vagina, vaginal itching or redness. Other symptoms can include painful sexual intercourse, lower abdominal discomfort, and the urge to urinate. The onset of symptoms such as vaginal or vulval pruritus and discharge is often sudden and occurs during or after menstruation as a result of the increased vaginal acidity.

Things you should think about before you have intercourse again:
Abstain from sexual intercourse; or use a latex condom properly, every time you have sexual intercourse, with every partner.
Limit your sexual partners. The more sex partners you have, the greater your risk of encountering someone who has this or other STDs. If you are infected, your sexual partner(s) should be treated. This will prevent you from getting reinfected.

Lastly, make sure those cuts or cracks are not herpes simplex one or two in your private area. Yes, it is possible to have either strand of herpes in your private region, although type II has a preference for the sacral-illiac ganglion region. Any infection needs treatment, and the sooner the better to avoid future reproductive problems. Good luck.
Me
It sounds like it could be BV (bacteria vaginosis) or it is called gardnerella. It is an over growth of bacteria in your vagina. It is not classified as an STD. Your discharge is very white and thick like lotion and it has a slight fishy odor to it. They will do a test panel at the doc, but you have to request an STD test as well, if you prefer. If it is BV, they will probably give you some gel to insert in your vagina for about 5 nights, its called Metronidazole Vaginal Gel. This is a very common infection. I hope this helps. Good luck at the doc.
