Is it possible to contact Trichomoniasis if not sexually active or have remained faithful to one partner.?

i would be very surprised if a virgin contracted trich as it is widely accepted as an std. it is transmitted person to person via sexual activity. perhaps the other partner is not so faithful as one might hope. i guess if one person with trich put a toy into themselves and then immediately into someone else they could pass it. but from towels, toilets seats and other lame explanations-no.
I don't think so.
well, the problem always is - if u re faithful to one partner it doesn't necesserelly mean your partner is faithful to u. my opinion is no, u can't get trichomonosis if u don't have sex
Very slim chance. Your partner has probably cheated and should also be treated.

Causes: Trichomoniasis is caused by the flagellated protozoan T vaginalis.

Risk factors for T vaginalis include the following:
Infection with other STDs, especially gonorrhea
Four or more lifetime sex partners
Sexual contact with an infected partner
Not using barrier contraception
Trading sex for money or drugs

Not very likely,

According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/trichomonia...
"Trichomoniasis, sometimes referred to as "trich" or the ping pong disease, is a common sexually transmitted disease that affects 2 to 3 million Americans yearly. It is caused by a single-celled protozoan parasite Trichomonas vaginalis. Trichomoniasis is primarily an infection of the genitourinary tract; the urethra is the most common site of infection in men, and the vagina is the most common site of infection in women."

So if a male urinated into a woman's sexual organs then it is possible to pass the disease, but a lot of people would consider that to be a sexual act. The only way to pass the disease is with that kind of contact. If someone had access to the interior of a male penis they could infect them, but not orally. Therefore I would consider an infection of this kind to be a sure and certian sign that someone is having sex with people that they should not be having sex with.

The article contines:
"Symptoms
Trichomoniasis, like many other sexually transmitted diseases, often occurs without any symptoms. Men almost never have symptoms, while 20% of women are asymptomatic.

When women have symptoms, they usually appear within 5 to 28 days of exposure. The symptoms in women include a heavy, yellow-green or gray vaginal discharge, discomfort during intercourse, vaginal odor, and painful urination. Irritation and itching of the female genital area, and on rare occasions, lower abdominal pain also can be present. In about two-thirds of infected females, there is edema, inflammation, cell hypertrophy and metaplasia.
The symptoms in men, if present, include a thin, whitish discharge from the penis and painful or difficult urination.

Complications
Research has shown a link between trichomoniasis and two serious sequel忙 (see note below). Data suggest that:

Trichomoniasis is associated with increased risk of transmission of HIV.
Trichomoniasis may cause a woman to deliver a low-birth-weight or premature infant.

NOTE According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/sequel%c3%a...
"A sequela (plural sequelae) is a pathological condition resulting from a disease, injury, or other trauma. Chronic kidney disease, for instance, is sometimes a sequela of a food-borne illness; post-traumatic stress disorder may be a psychological sequela of rape."

In my situation I have a sequela; that is a partial kidney failure do to being on NSAID drugs for so long. I don't know the conditions for this, but I would confront the one that infected you, "The only way to get this disease is to contact the inside of a male's sexual organs with a females sexual organs PERIOD! That makes it STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease), and that means you have not only been having sex with someone else, but now you have infected me with a disease that can create life long health problems. I am not falling for any phony excuses of yours!"

The silliest thing is that a simple condom would have prevented it. In my opinion I would refuse to have sex with anyone without using a condom, unless I had medical proof that we were both clean.
