Did my girlfriend get trichomoniasis from sharing a towel? |
She says that when she spent the night at her friend's house that she took a shower there and used her friend's towel. Now, her friend is a little bit of a hoochie. Is that possible or did she cheat on me? Please help!!! Trichomoniasis (pronounced trih-kuh-muh-nye-uh-sus), also called 鈥渢rick,鈥?is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is caused by a parasite that can be passed from one person to another. The parasite is sexually transmitted through penis-to-vagina intercourse or vulva-to-vulva contact with an infected partner. The vulva is the genital area outside the vagina. Women can get the disease from infected men or women. While trichomoniasis is usually passed sexually, it may be picked up from contact with damp or moist objects such as towels, wet clothing, or a toilet seat, if the genital area gets in contact with these damp or moist objects. (http://www.4woman.gov/faq/stdtrich.htm)... Source(s): http://www.4woman.gov/faq/stdtrich.htm... With an STD anything is possible, but they all have one action in common "SEX". If anyones partner has something its mostly because they were fooling around with someone else. In rare cases, it may be possible to get trich by coming in contact with an object (such as a wet towel) that a person who has trich has just used. The trich organism cannot live on objects for long, so trich is not usually spread this way. But i know how you feel really i do. but i wouldn't rule out the possibility of sex involved, I mean if she spent the night at her friends wouldn't her friend have an extra towel. Did you get the STD as well? simply put she's a cheat find a new lady....and go get yourself checked if you have had sex with her since the "towel sharing". Only if you want to believe it. lol. jk. Yeah, it's a good alibi....I mean, a good chance she's telling you the truth. Check out the link. http://www.emedicinehealth.com/trichomon... |
