*Women health>>>Trichomoniasis

I think I have trichomoniasis. Are there other symptoms besides discharge & cists, like fever and bodyaches?

What happens if its has been untreated? Could I also have a urinary trac infection. That would explaine the pain in my lower back.

Usually there is fever and myalgia (muscle pain) related to trichomonas infections, since fever is a response of your body to a foreign antigen/pathogen. And this organism does cause UTI in most patients.

If left untreated, it could progress to an ascending infection, which leads towards your bladder and cause bladder infections, potentially shutting it down. Of course there are other routes, but in any case, letting them progress in later stages would be detrimental to your health.

The lower back pain may be the result of your having difficulties voiding urine out of your system (if you actually do experience this); trichomoniasis is treatable, and curable as well. I suggest you see a urologist or first a GP in order for them to obtain fluid samples to rule out other infections and establish trichomoniasis as a possible infection...the rest would be history, which includes antibiotic med regime and dietary intakes.

Hope this helps!
