How do you tell someone you have trichomoniasis? |
How do you tell someone you have trichomoniasis? It is commendable that you are taking responsibility for not passing on this STD. It sounds like you need help in how communicate your illness to someone close to you. I would contact any one of the following for support: Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention www.cdc.gov/std Order Publications Online at www.cdc.gov/std/pubs/ STD information and referrals to STD Clinics CDC-INFO 1-800-CDC-INFO (800-232-4636) TTY: 1-888-232-6348 In English, en Espa帽ol CDC National Prevention Information Network (NPIN) P.O. Box 6003 Rockville, MD 20849-6003 1-800-458-5231 1-888-282-7681 Fax 1-800-243-7012 TTY E-mail: info@cdcnpin.org www.cdcnpin.org American Social Health Association (ASHA) P. O. Box 13827 Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-3827 1-800-783-9877 www.ashastd.org Trichomo-what? I'm sorry I don't know. But I can assure you, you need to tell the person before you start doing anything. If you don't there will be problems..... Tell your Dr. He is the only one who can provide a cure and the excuses how you got it, if you need excuses. Just tell them.........It's not the end of the world Trichomoniasis can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics. Go to the Dr.........You & your partner can get it all cleared up in 1-7 days If you are being treated for trichomoniasis, make sure your sex partner(s) also get treatment, in order to prevent getting infected again. Your partner should receive treatment even if they do not have any symptoms. Good Luck! Just tell them that you went to the doctor and that they said you had trich and for you to inform your sexual partners so they can get checked. You have to do it.Its part of the responsibility of having unprotected sex.The thing about this infection is that it is a bacterial infection that can be spread through sexual contact. It's not as bad as some of the others but can cause problems if left untreated.Tell them no matter how afraid you are, they deserve to know.Besides, they may have given it to you not knowing they had it.Don't have sex with them until you have proof that they saw a doctor, because they can re-infect you if they don't get cured. Been there. |
