I just got tested today and found out i have trichomoniasis. i told my partner?


and he went and got tested today.
i had sex with him on feb 11 2007. we had sex that night without a condom. im so scared that he might have it. we didnt have any symptoms of it i found out through a doctor exam. is there any chance that he might not have it?


he went an got tested today after i told him. but he has to wait 2 to 3 weeks. im just so scared that he has it. im getting treated for it now im taking tindamax.

There is a possibility that he may not have it although the chances are slim. Generally if he begins to have symptoms prior to his test results, he will be able to get treatment form the doctor he went to for the testing. If possible try to abstain from having unprotected sex (or sex at all) until all symptoms and medications have been taken by the both of you.

Why be scared....I hope he is happy that you told him and he too can get the right meds for this. How do you know he didn't give it to you? If he loves you and I hope he does if you are having sex with him, he will forgive you and you both can move on as an uninfected couple.
Sure, there could be a chance he doesn't have it. It depends on whether condiitons were ideal for transmission and whether the bacterial loading was sufficient to prevent his immune system from fighting off the bacteria.

While you wait, make sure you use a condom. IF he has it, you don't want to reinfect yourself.
You did the right thing to tell your partner,but if he wasn't wearing a condom,he probably got infected also.Not a big deal,you went to the doctor got, tested and med's, and told him.At least you were honest and straight forward.Hope all goes well,take care. SW RNP
