I have a Urinary Tract Infection and I'm trying to get pregnant. Help!? |
Okay, so I got married a few months ago and quit taking my birth control so we could start a family. Problem is I keep getting a thin yellowish/ whitish discharge and i have to urinate a lot more, like I have a UTI? If it is a UTI, why do I keep getting them? and can vaginitis cause UTI's??? I am so confused,I have a gyno appointment in a week and a half but I wanna hear other opinions on the subject also, I am 2 days late on my period. But I took a HPT and it came back neg. You keep getting them because you are now married and having sex on a regular basis. And if you are typical newlywed, you are having lots of sex. You need to make sure you use the bathroom to empty your bladder before each session. Also, if your husband is not circumcised, he need to make sure that the area under the foreskin is clean, because yes, the bacteria and discharge from vaginitis can enter the urethra ( these areas are so close together). For this reason also, you must be sure to wipe yourself FROM the FRONT TO THE BACK when using the bathroom. To prevent UTI's you should start drinking cranberry juice or taking cranberry pills. That always helps me a whole lot! Also, before and after sex (I know this is hard when you are ttc) you should get up and go to the bathroom. For some reason if you don't go to the bathroom before and after it can cause UTIs. Good luck at the dr! i have UTI too.its because i TTC for a long time and having sex without any protection thats why its keep coming.but ur Doc will give u a Antibiotic course to prevent that UTI.i am 16 weeks prego with this UTI and i took twice this course to prevant my uti....but still u could be pregnant with this UTI so best of luck YES! Deff. go to the doctors. try and take it one thing at a time. Try to get rid of whatever is going on right now then when its gone try for a baby again. I know most women get UTI when they are pregnant but if your not yet get rid of it first. Best wishes! you need to get to the doctors immediately. I would clear that up before trying to get pregnant....certain infections can cause miscarriages. |
