What's the difference in symptoms of urinary tract infection and kidney stones?

I've looked at the symptoms of both and it looks like the symptoms are pretty much the same. How would one know if it's just a UTI or if it's actually kidney stones (before you call the doctor, of course)

in case of renal stone the patient complain of sever colicky pain with radiation of the pain to the groins, genitalia, thigh and the knee ,,fever is rare
associated symptoms is sweating and nausea and vomiting

in case of UTI ,, the pain is not colicky and it is ill-defined .... high fever(important)

you can differentiate it from the nature of pain and the presence or absence of fever

god bless

Symptoms of UTI or bladder infection are not easy to miss and include a strong urge to urinate that cannot be delayed which is followed by a sharp pain or burning sensation in the urethra when the urine is released. Most often very little urine is released and the urine that is released may be tinged with blood. The urge to urinate recurs quickly and soreness may occur in the lower abdomen, back, or sides.

This cycle may repeat itself frequently during the day or night--most people urinate about six times a day, when the need to urinate occurs more often a bladder infection should be suspected.

When a tubular structure is blocked in the body, pain is generated in waves as the body tries to unblock the obstruction. These waves of pain are called colic.

Renal colic (renal is the medical term for things related to the kidney) has a classic presentation when a kidney stone is being passed.

The pain is intense and comes on suddenly.

It is usually located in the flank or the side of the mid back and radiates to the groin. Those affected cannot find a comfortable position, and many writhe in pain.

This is opposed to non-colicky type pain, like appendicitis or pancreatitis, where movement causes increased pain and affected persons hold very still.

o you will know if its a kidney stone it will come out of nowhere and there is no relief u will have to go to the hospital its pain that's hard to describe you'll be doubled over in pain some say that its worse than labor pain
