What type of tissue is the urinary tract?

Is it connective?
Epithelial?
Muscular?
and definitely not nervous.

Mostly consists of epithelium, from urinary bladder, ureter, and renal part. The specific may vary be ranging from transitional to cuboidal.

The bladder and urinary sphincters are made of smooth muscle with an epithelial lining on the (luminal) inside. The ureters and urethra are mainly epithelial with a small amount of smooth muscle. There are nerve cells throughout the urinary tract that tell you when you have a full bladder, and control the sphincters and bladder musculature.

From inside to out, the system has a layer of transitional epithelium, connective tissue, and smooth muscle. There is nervous tissue that is exquisitely sensitive to distension, as I am sure you have experienced.

The bladder is muscular.

I don't know about the uretors or the kidneys.
