I am glad I came across this question, please trust me!!! I have Kidney Reflux Disease, so I have had countless Kidney infections... countless stays in the hospital! Ask the doctor about "Cipro!" It was the ONLY thing that would cure my Kidney infections. Get some Pedialite, Gatorade or smart water... all of them have electrolytes and that is VERY important to keep up on with a Kidney infection! Make sure to use the restroom every hour even if you don't feel like you have to go! I hope this works for you!
P.S. STAY AWAY FROM CAFFEINE AND SPICY FOODS!

Chances are the doctor treated you without doing a proper culture and sensitivity on the organism itself (he should have sent a specimen to the lab to perform this but sometimes they think they know best..many times they don't!) and this would mean he prescribed the incorrect antibiotic. You will have to go back. If you took the medication as prescribed then the only reasonable explanation for treatment failure is improperly prescribed drugs.

Sorry and hope you get some relief soon.

Call your doctor and explain your problem to him. He can probably call in a prescription for you to Walmart for an inexpensive ($4.00) antibiotic.

If you have a local health department, you should go there- they can give you medicine for low costs without health insurance.

there is this medicine. its called uristat.
it works great!!!
