Urinary tract infection..? Help? |
Okay so I'm 17 years old and I had sex for the first time about 6 days ago and I've done it about 7 or 8 times already. When I went to use the restroom this morning it burned after I urinated, I didn't think much of it. Later on in the day I was laughing real hard and had the urge to use the restroom although this time there was like a burning sensation with it. Later on I urinated again and it also burned again. This hasn't happened until now. I heard that after having sex sometimes causes women to get urinary tract infections. Do you think this is what I might have? If so, I do have to go to the doctor I know that but do you think the doctor will ask if I am sexually active if so even like check to see if I am? Because if my mom finds out I am the shame of the family. Everyone in my family is so Christian they all believe in abstinence and I would be there first to break it. So, basically my question is do you think I have an UTI also if I go to the doctor will he ask questions. I'm looking for serious answers please. Thank you. the first to break it not there. Sounds like a UTI. It is really important to urinate after sex, every time. It flushes the bacteria out of your urethra. You really do need to go to see a doctor, it may even be an issue that they can address at Planned Parenthood. If you went there, it would be anonymous. But please go to see someone. Always pee after sex and always wear a condom. It does sound like you have a UTI. You do need to see a doctor. Your doctor may ask you if you are sexually active, but you can get UTI from other things, too. Even if your doctor does ask you if you are sexually active, by law, the doctor can not release any information you give him/her without your written permission. (Not even to your parents). The Dr will probably ask if you are sexually active. Did you use protection every time? If so and there were none that broke or came off then I would go with UTI also. You can buy AZO over the counter at any drug store and if you get immediate relief then you know its an UTI. Good luck! |
