I have to wear diapers for a few days because of a urinary tract infection. I need some advice about diapers?

I figured since you all have babies, you would know. I was so worried, I thought there was something seriously wrong with me when I started wetting my pants. I was so relieved when the doctor told me it was just an infection. Now I have antibiotics. In a few days I'll be fine. For the next day or so, I'm going to wear diapers. I got some Depends. Do you have any advice on how to avoid rashes? Also, I don't want people to know I have on a diaper. Is there a way to be discreet about it? I realize that with your babies, you don't have to be discreet. It isn't embarrassing for them to be in diapers.

If you don't want anyone to know, why are you telling all of us? Just wear pants over them like normal. It's no different than wearing a pad when you're on your period.

to answer your question, change your diaper every time you pee.

They have the diapers that are stretchy and not as thick as depends so they won't show under pants.

I think that the Serenity pads might be a better choice. More like a pad you would use for your periods. That infection should clear up quickly know that you are on antibiotics.

Hun just wear extra heavy maxi pads it will be so much easier -- just go to the store and look around for some extra thick ones

look, the depends is going overboard. in a day- 2 at the most- you will have control back. and if you bought even a small pack of depends you would have almost all of them left over and what will you use them for? besides, briefs (what adult diapers are called in nursing homes) are designed to not be all bulky and noticeable. but then again that is for the styles and cuts of clothing that elderly people wear. so i think if you were to wear low rise jeans or daisy dukes they would be noticeable.
but if your insist on still wearing the depends use a good amount of vaseline on your bum so the infected urine you are sitting in wont burn your skin.
