Do you HAVE to go to the doctor if you have a urinary tract infection?

I dont have health insurance and i dont have alot of money so i have mulitple questions below:

Do certain doctors allow you to do payment plans?

Does cranberry cocktail count as cranberry juice?

If its burning really bad at the moment and almost unbareable for me to move should i really see a doctor or keep drinking plenty of water and wait for it to pass?

If you do have a UTI then yes you do. Antibiotics are a must for UTIs. If you leave an UTI untreated it can ascend the ureters and result in a kidney infection, which if left untreated can cause scaring to the kidneys and even enter the blood stream causing septicaemia which can be fatal.

Cranberry juice will have NO effect on a UTI which is already established. There is no natural alternative- you need antibiotics. You need to see a Doctor and take a urine sample with you.

UTI is very common in women. So, if this is the first time, don't worry too much about it. Drink plenty of water, hopefully it will resolved. If not, then you can see a doctor. But, if you have multiple recurrence of UTI for one months, I would say go see a doctor to get antibiotics as soon as possible.

You have to see a doctor, you need antibiotics. Fortunately some of them are really inexpensive at walmart or grocery store pharmacies. Try asking you bank for a small loan to pay for the medical treatment, perhaps apply for a credit card.

Yes. You need antibiotics. Left unchecked, some UTIs can travel into your kidneys. Given the pain you're in, I would go right away. You'll probably get sulfa drugs or a cheap generic antibiotic. Pay what you can and give them your billing address. Good luck to you!
