I am taking nitrofurantoin mono/mac 100mg for my urinary tract infection? |
i supposed to take it 2 times a day and my last day is monday, is it possible for me to drink beer saturday, or would that effect me. thank you It would dilute the effect of that night is all. I wouldn't just because when a doctor prescribes something it is meant to take all of it and use it to its full advantage. When you take a medication for a UTI then the day and dosage is for a reason. Stopping too early or using something that could dilute the medication can be a disadvantage to your health. It might not be as strong and may not kill off the entire bacteria. You may end up with another UTI soon or a little later down the road and be in the whole mess again. Also read the side of the prescription, many say do not take with alcohol, which means the entire time that you are on the pill, because then it could cause some side effects, and usually not good ones. Most if not all medications should not be taken while having any substance of alochol in your body. Good luck. |
