Uterine cancer. Possible prognosis?

My mom is going in for a full hysterectomy next week, as they have found a mass within her uterus.
ASSUMING it's cancer and not a benign fibroid, what are the possible prognisis' for her?
her bio: type 2 diabetic, heavy, 65 years old.

Any doctors or specialists out there have nay input. I tried calling her doctor, but i get too upset when i start dialing. any pertinent info would be appreciated.

There will be more information after they have removed the uterus and can see the mass-they also will do tests on the removed tissue if it is cancer and they will check the surrounding area for signs of cancer as well as remove and chedk lymph nodes. Until then you will just have to wait, because there is no other way to know the extent of the disease till after the operation. You can pray now that it will be a fibroid or that if cancer it is localized and can be removed. Good luck>

thanks for the info. very helpful. they operated and it was cancer.... localized tho, so they got it all. Report It

Aw im so sorry hun,They cant just assume its cancer without your mum being thoroughly checked out,If your mum had this diagnosis they would have getting her in asap hun,Chin up and think positive xx

they found a possible cure (:
