What will a doctor do if they do a D&C and determine that the patient has uterine cancer? |
I have to take my girlfriend for one, she's 58, post menopausal for 9 years now. When she had an ultrasound done the Dr found out that her endometrial lining was 18mm thick (it should be no more than 4mm,) and that she has a golfball sized 'mass' in her uterus. She was on Premarin for about 7 years for hot flashes and night sweats. Or endometrial cancer? She will need a hysterectomy and further testing to see if it has spread. |
