Delivering with varicose veins....?

Since mid-pregnancy I have had very bad varicose veins on my labias and up inside of my vagina. They are terribly painful, and I am constantly swollen down there. I'm 40+1 weeks, and even just the pressure of my baby sitting low now can sometimes just about knock me to the floor. I am wondering if anyone else suffered from varicose veins in this area, what they did to help it, and if it effected their birthing at all. I think that is my biggest fear, whether or not it is going to effect a vaginal birth.

Well, unfortuntaely I dont mean to scare you but in reality the pain from a normal vaginal birth will be so bad you wont even know you have any varicose viens. It wont affect the birth at all. they should reduce dramitically after birth, but you can have tehm laser removed, esp if they are really bad and very painful. Good luck w/ new baby and birth

my sister i law had the same thing and she was really concerned about it. she had no problems because of them. she delivered 1-7-08 a healthy baby girl
