I' going on 16! is there anything i can do to reduse them or to help make them less noticable! help...

Think you are bit young to be having varicose veins but they can be surgically removed

Where abouts are they? You could go doctors but they would only remove if it was affecting your health or you would have to go private. I don't think anything can make them less noticable

go to a fancy dress party in the nude...you can say you came as a road map....lol...

Have you been told by your doctor that you've got varicose veins? Sometimes the veins in the legs are visible - especially if you have fair skin - but it doesn't mean they are varicose.

If you HAVE had a diagnosis of Vv's, then you may need to lose weight to reduce the pressure on the blood flow into and out of your legs. Elevate your feet whenever you can, avoid standing still for long periods, but if you have to, then flex your knees often. If they are very bad, then wearing some support hosiery will help.

However, I would urge you to have them checked by a doctor.

Varicose veins occur when blood pools in your legs rather than returning straight to your heart. This causes the veins to bulge slightly with the excess pooling of blood. The veins of your legs have no returnable valves in them that helps the blood circulating through your legs. If you think about it, your heart is responsible for pumping blood to every part of your body. Your hear is responsible for pumping blood down to your legs but also pumping the blood from your toes back up your legs and back to your heart. Failure of the valves in the legs will cause the blood to pool when the heart tries to pump it back up the legs. Failure of theses valves can be caused by lack of exercise. You may notice your feet and ankles swelling when you sit down for a long time. This is normal. The action of your calf muscles during movement help to squeez the veins and push the blood back up the legs. Being overweight makes it harder for your heart to pump blood around the body. I think some people are born with a weakness in the valves of their leg veins. Heart problems such as heart failure will also cause varicous veins.

I'm sorry for such a lengthy explaination.
You need to loose weight, if your are overweight.
Get your calf muscles active by walking or other exercise.
See your Dr.
Varicouse veins can be surgically stripped, which means the vein can be removed and replaced by a vein graft. Theirs very little scaring in this operation.

The worse thing that can happen with varicous veins is that they could rupture. This only occurs if they are quite bad. However, varicose veins tend to get worse with time. If the vein ruptures there would be massive bleeding. This is a serious emergency.

Another very serious risk is that you are much more likely to develope a DVT. A Deep Vein Thrombosis is a blood clot that forms in the leg because the blood frow is sluggish. If this clot moves through the vein and into the general circulation it could go into the heart, lungs or brain causing a heart attack, stroke or pulmonar embolism.

PLEASE HAVE YOURSELF CHECKED OUT WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
