Varicose veins and pregnancy?

Well I was unfortunate enough to get V.veins at 16yrs. They got really bad and I had them dissolved. The doctor that did it said it I was to get pregnant they most likely will come back. As so, they have and worse then before. I try not to stand for long hours and elevate legs. I am 5 months pregnant and was wonder if other ladies have got their v.veins coming out worse and did it continue to get even more terrible as you got closer to the 9 months? I'm thinking with the extra weight it will play a toll... thanks.

I got varicose veins from my pregnancy with my daughter. It was so uncomfortable and I was miserable. I carried her so low that literally from my hips down I was swollen and looked bruised all over!!! My doctor just kept telling me to stay off my feet as much as possible which of course is not easy to do!!

As soon as I had her all the swelling and "bruising" went away FAST! I still have the marks from the veins but honestly they are not too bad.

yes! i had it bad, i developed varicus veins in the vulva (and yes you can get it there) in my 8th month of pregnancy, I found i was mostly sore behind the knees because of the varicose through most of my pregnancy, I had it so bad that eventually i ended up with deep vein thrombosis.the more weight you put on,the more painful it gets, keep elevating your legs up under some cushions as you have been doing.I know how you feel doll and i sure do sympathise. ........i hope yours will be nowhere near as bad as mine.
