Help! im only 14 but i have varicose veins?

im only 14 but i think i have varicose veins (im not yet sure!)

there are bluish-lines that started to appear at my legs since i started figure skating classes, well those do not hurt actually! do you think its varicose veins? if so, what can i do to get rid of that?

I have had varicose veins since I was about eight. My doctor really had no answer for me as to why they are there, but there is some thing called vein sclerosing that you can have done some places to get them removed. It depends on whats in your area and what exactly they are.

A medical diagnosis and evaluation will help determine the severity of the varicose veins, whether the patient is at risk for more serious medical problems, and options for clinical or home-based treatment. Read more about varicose veins diagnosis.

Treatment programs are tailored to each individual and will depend on various factors. Treatment options include sclerotherapy (microsclerotherapy), laser surgery, minimally invasive catheter-assisted procedures, surgical vein stripping, ambulatory phlebectomy and endoscopic vein surgery.

Patients may receive a combination of treatments, and most patients participate in some self-care therapies as well. Read more about varicose veins treatment options.

I'm 16 years old and have varicose veins. They're not life-threatening by themselves but you have to see a doctor, preferably a vascular surgeon or a phlebologist--since such varicose veins could be symptoms of an underlying sickness.

An expert is the best person to consult regarding the causes and possible treatment of your veins. My doctor scanned my leg and it turned out one of the valves near my groin area (yeah, ha ha..) had a leak (though not really life-threatening. The leak might just make my varicose veins more prominent). Thus he recommended me to undergo 'EndoVenous Laser Treatment' or EVLT. The doc burnt one of the veins in my upper leg to get rid of the leak, and to provide a new route for my blood. As of the moment I'm typing this, it has been a little more than 24 hours after my treatment.

I'm not really saying you should undergo the same treatment/operation. I just told you one of the possible treatments. They're are other treatments other Yahoo! users may inform you about.

But unfortunately, none of us can help you as effectively as a real doctor you should see IN PERSON.

If I were you, I'd see a doctor. Then he'll hopefully tell you of the treatment most suitable for your condition. I hope this helps.

I was 13 when those nasties started showing up. I was very athletic then, so I guess that may be it. My doctor however, suggested resting with your feet elevated (above your head) for a good 30 to 45 minutes when you get home from school. It will help your blood circulation.

These do not seep to be varicose veins. The name varicose veins itself is generally used for a painful condition of veins.

I have treated people in the past with these type of problems and they are now cured with no recurrence of the problem.

Please dont scratch your legs.that mark will naver go.
