Are these varicose veins? |
since i started figure skating, bluish and whitish lines started to appear at my legs! well, it doesn't hurt actually but since it's appearance look like varicose veins, i thought those are varicose veins! well those lines are not bumpy! you can almost feel nothing when you touched it! the problem is that i dont really like their appearance! they really look like varicose veins!!!!! Yes they probably are! Varicose and spider veins appear when your legs have been constricted of circulation, tights and nylons do it. honey im ot a doctor but i wouldnt think that at your age you would have varicous veins. sounds to me like getting into sport you have just got your circulation going, which is a positive thing! vericous veins have the characteristics of atually "popping" out of the skin. you can feel them raised up to a cm from the skin, and they are very painfull! These are called spider veins. They can be treated quite easily, but seeing as you're so young, it might be a good idea to cisit your doctor just to check that nothing else is going on. I started getting them when I was about 28. Definitely vericose veins. Get the surgery, it's worth it. |
