How to get rid of varicose veins.. help please?

Very difficult as it's a failure of the vein itself, not necessarily a symptom of something else.

If possible support the vein as much as possible, support tights or support socks (most varicose veins are in the legs because the pressure is higher due to the blood having to be pumped back UP to the heart).

Rest the veins by putting your feet up when you're sitting down. This reduces the pressure in the vein.

A moderate amount of exercise can help as long as it isn't raising your blood pressure (so no weightlifting). If you have to stand around for any length of time, walk about a bit or raise your heels so that you transfer the weight to the balls of your feet. The muscle contractions required to do this aid the movement of blood up the vein by compressing the vein from the outside. A bit like squeezing sausage meat along a skin.

If the veins are causing you concern or discomfort, see your GP or qualified pharmacist for advice.

Ultimately the only treatment for very bad veins is surgical.

From what I've heard, the biggest cause of varicose veins is the crossing of legs.

So basically, don't do it, doing so traps the blood which leads them to bulge and bruise around the lower leg.
