Anyone else have varicose veins in their legs?

I need to know how to get rid of these. Is there any safe cheap way to do it? I have heard of laser removal, any advise on that. I just want them gone and not come back.

Wow, I JUST found an article in my local newspaper that I cut out to save. If ignored, varicose veins can become a more serious condition, and according to this article: "Varicose veins that cause medical symptoms are frequently covered by most insurance plans. Treatments such as surgery, or 'stripping', and saline injections only treat the surface problem and not the root. Without removing the source of the problem, varicose veins will return. Many of the high-tech options today significantly decrease the chance of veins returning, because they defeat the core problem. Non-surgical treatments such as Endovenous Laser Ablation and Ultrasound Guided Microfoam are among the most advanced procedures today, and are highly successful.

Ultrsound-guided machines have revolutionized vein removal treatments. The ultrsound provides a 'window' for physicians to see vein structures beneath the surface of the skin. With this window, a "road map" of the patient's entire venous system can be created, making the removal procedure extremely precise and consistent.
Laser ablation works by using a catheter to feed fiber to the root of the vein. When the laser is ignited, it burns the vein down to a stringy tissue that is cleared by your body like a bruise. It's a nearly painless procedure; the local anesthetic prevents the patient from feeling the laser energy."

THE BENEFITS:
No surgery, no downtime, no scars
Nearly painless

Treats the root of the disease
Increased precision and consistency

Mine are heredity and VERY pronounced. I have chosen to live with them since I have cannot justify other than my own vanity having them removed. Most dermatoligists do free consults (at least the good ones) and they can give you your options and an idea of price.
My brother had the laser treatment done & the results were awesome. It is an expensive treatment but it does work.
A co-worker of mine had another treatment involving injections. Was more painful though and the recovery was a lot longer. If the veins are very pronounced and painful I would save up for the laser treatment.
standing on your feet is the reason for them and having them cut out is bad, it can be done but is not fun and also you can have them laser but be prepared to pay alot
