How to pevent varicose veins? |
help my grand mom had varicose veins and my mom veins show but a not swollen and now i have noticed that my veins are showing. is it possible to prevent varicose veins. i love my legs. Try to avoid standing for long periods of time, and if you must (at work etc), wear "sensible" (ie low heeled, comfortable) shoes. Tight pants and high heels are not good for your circulation and general health. Watch your weight, obesity or wild fluctuations in weight (as in yo-yo dieting) can cause them, as can pregnancy. Get plenty of exercise, esp. swimming, walking or aerobics. This helps your entire circulatory system as well as keeping you fit and trim. Elevate your legs on a couple of pillows or similar for 30 min, once or twice a day. Make sure you get enough calcium and magnesium in your diet. Leg pain at night is often associated with a lack of these two elements. If you have very pale skin, your veins show more than they would if you were tanned or naturally dark. Try tanning makeup on your legs. Don't wear high heels!!! don't cross your legs while sleeping, Improve your circulation via diet and exercise sorry but there is N O substitute for exercise |
