I was recently bitten by a spider or insect of some kind and had redness up my arm past my elbow. I have knots along the veins, but also at the bite site. The doctor told me today that it is varicose veins. Has anyone ever heard of that.
I work with the elderly and to my knowledge have never seen a varicose vein in the arms. Lots on the backs of the legs. Wierd. Ask to see another doctor. One of the doctors I go to is useless and treats you like some sort of Hyperchondriac. I always get a second opinion if I'm not sure.
