Is it a good idea for someone with varicose veins to walk a lot? |
I've had varicose veins for some time now. I've recently started going on long walks for exercise. The past few days, my veins have made my left leg feel very heavy and tingly. It's never done that before. Should I stop going on the long walks? I'd hate to give it up. It's healthy. As a matter of fact, I'd suggest you upgrade to running. A good diet change with fruits and vegetables helps also. my mum has had vericose vein for most of her life and i dont think she has had many problems. its probably fine and just a normal result of exercising a lot. It is not the best solution.Try to run for smaller time,not up to be tired. probably. I think anything that keeps the blood moving is good for varicose veins. I have them too, by the way, prematurely. Cursed with the genes of my grandmother, I noticed my first varicose veins at the tender age of 16 !!!! sucks. hey, congrats on losing all that weight! you ROCK! I'm proud of you! |
