Varicose vein surgery? |
I am having varicose vein surgery and wanted to know the following: What are the pre-op tests I will be sent for? When sedated with a general will a tube be put down my throat? Are you catherized? Do they shave your leg or do you do it prior to checking in? these are all pertinent questions, you need to ask them of your surgeon. Each facility does these things in different ways, and no two doctors follow the same procedures, so ask your surgeo... you have to keep the leg elevated and rested..its painful as there is a lot of bruising but once that clears its a lot better. i dont think people realise how VERY painful varicous veins can... The standard of treatment is fairly standard, and there is no real outstanding clinic for this treatment;... Yes, some birth control pills with higher oestrogen content, ie above 30mcg, can cause enlarged veins, ie varicose veins.... You cannot get rid of the venous ulcer on the leg until your varicose veins are corrected by a surgery or by injecting sclerosing agents into the perforator veins which are defective. Long ... Yes, there are methods that doctors advise before finally coming at surgery. First, keep the legs higher than the rest of the body, as many times and for as long as possible during the da... how would we know this, you were at the doctor for this procedure, why didnt you ask them?... rubbish your doctor should refer you if you are in pain. my sister got hers done on NHS. i would go to another doctor.... |
