Varicose vein on the finger????????????????


My dh has such beautiful hands and about 2 month ago he noticed that on the middle finger, right where it bends the vein swelled. Now it is looks like a lump and it doesn鈥檛 hurt him. It is just always there and looks ugly. It is the size of the pea and he can bend the finger fine, there is no pain or discomfort.
What could it be and what should he do besides go to see the doctor?
He said that he should take a needle and prick it lol lol
I am scared he is gonna do it and he鈥檒l bleed.
please help.

No need to do anything with it (I have no medical background). I have had these kinds of lumps on wrists, and fingers before. I spoke to people in the medical profession when I had them and the name of lump escapes me right now but they will go away on their own. Tell him to ignore it and in a couple weeks he won't be able to find it . they are really odd because they come and go on their own.
