Varicose vein removal?

Did you get laser or stripping? Are you happy with the surgury? Did the veins come back? Any advice?
I have varicose veins on both legs and they hurt all the time, I'm only 24 and I want them removed, I'm going to speak with the doc tomorrow about it but I want to hear what you guys have to say about it, please...

I've had varicose veins stripped in one of my legs. They were really severe. I was 26 when I had them done. My surgery was a little more complicated than most. I've had friends who've had it done and they were up and walking fairly normaly within the next few days. I took a little while longer because I had a lot of swelling. It was painful when I came out of anesthesia and later because of the swelling. However, I could see definite progress in how I was able to move everyday. Mine hurt really bad. Since then, my leg doesn't hurt. They are starting to come back but not like they were. Mine would bulge off my leg really bad. Mine have come back mostly because I'm pregnant so it adds a lot of pressure. But even at that they don't hurt. The scars are hardly noticable. The only thing I would be careful of is the incision in the groin area. Those tend to become infected a lot easier because it's moist in that area. I would definitely do it. I'm so glad I did. I'm going to have to have my other leg done in about a year.

please get them removed because u r young and there r jus so many complications related to varicose veins.. like tiredness standin up to ulcers, thrombophlebitis.. a whole spectrum of problems
