Why do you think violence against women is primarily perpetrated by men?

because i think that most violence is perpetrated by men so therefore all violence against women would be perpetrated by men since they are the ones committing all the violence.

Who else would it be perpetrated by...?? Is there a third gender that I'm not aware of?

I believe that it actually started because man blamed woman for sin because of the story of Eve eating that apple. Others claim that because woman was taken from the rib of man, that he has dominion over her and that she is his property. Doesn't look too much like those men advanced very far, does it?

Because they don't carry the burden of motherhood.

Because in general men are more violent than women. (Testosterone)...and some men are such weenies they can only beat up women or anyone who is smaller than they are, like children.

because women are thought to be the weaker vessel, men beat on women to feel powerful.

It isn't. Women give each other more abuse than men ever do. They're just so used to that type of violence, getting it and giving it, that they ignore it as being such. If they didn't, then they'd have to acknowledge that they give out that type of abuse as readily as they receive it. People who perpetuate a negative action often wish to only acknowledge that others are guilty of it, but not themselves. So they ignore it or downplay it if they fall into the group which is guilty of it.

One word - TESTOSTERONE

Because... Most violence against women is in the form of rape, and a woman walking around with a strap on would give it away.

Again- women are violent towards men all the time, but men do not report it because there is shame involved with that.
