How can we stop violence against women?

teach women to not get involved with assholes. sorry the safe guys aren't that exciting, but you'll get hit less!

We can reduce violence potentially by smaller pre and primary school classes, so teachers have a better chance of catching and re-training children who show violent tendancies, and to give those vulnerable children support so they don't grow up with the problems that can lead to "lashing out". This is all kinds of violence. But it only reduces the problem. Curing it would take generations of behavoir and attitude changing. Again, all kinds of violence.

People above, violence against women IS a problem. As is violence against men.

Teach people not to be violent with anybody, including men, and you'll lower violence against women as well. Most people who are violent with women are violent period. For instance, many rapists have assaulted men as well (not sexually, just assaulted). We need to teach people better morals in general, and violence against women will drop.

Not sure if it is possible. It is such an ingrained part of our society, it will require a sweeping change in attitudes. Also, I would like to point out that men are the victims of violence as well, except that guys don't report it. I've been the victim a few times as have most of my friends. It is basically accepted if a woman slaps a guy who she thinks is being rude or mean, but if a guy does it, society wants them arrested. Just an interesting dichotomy that I think exists because guys just don't care. They get slapped, get their car keyed, whatever, and move on.

What just violence against women?
Are women to be given special protections that men and children are not to be offered?
You see that's what is wrong with feminist logic it only concerns it self with one part of humanity and sod the rest.
I am a realist and you are never going to stop violence against anyone unless the law is to be made so intrusive that it will be intolerable.. is that a price worth paying ...no!

Where on earth do you live that violence is common toward women? I don't think that there is an epidemic of ***** slapping going on, is there? Most of the men I know treat women with all the respect they would a man. Did I miss something in the news?

carry some mace on you or a taser they hurt worse then mace get the one with the two hooked prongs, prisoners that got shot by them from police say they rather get shot in the leg then shot by one of them that will keep the bad men off you.

Educate them. Educate the men. that's what i think

Agree with tempting. Do not get involve with an AH, there are far to good men out-there to waste time with violent losers.

Also, teach every children martial arts. It will teach them discipline and being responsible for their acts.

educate men about dealing with their anger management rather than solving problems by lashing out at women and children. it really is their state of mind and how they perceive women.

All women should wear this thing.
