My baby has a bad yeast infection I have medication from the doctor but it will not go away?

Yeast infection is a pain in the butt. Literally. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to kill. Be patient. Make sure to use the nystatin every time you change her and orally too if she has it there. All five of mine have had it at least once. Some kids take longer than others. Make sure to rub her tummy a lot if she has gas too.

my daughter had a yeast infection and what helped was using unscented wipies, and letting her skin dry before i put the medicine on her. and so she wont get it again, i make sure that she is dry before i put her diaper on, because her doctor said that if her skin is wet, putting the diaper on her will trap the moisture and it is the perfect place for the yeast to grow.good luck

My son had the same thing and I switched diapers and used the medicine that the doctor gave me as well as triple paste and I changed wipes.

I went and bought Seventh Generation diapers(they are chlorine free which causes the other diapers to be white, some babies end up becoming allergic to the chlorine in the diaper.) and also lansinoh wipes(found in the breastfeeding section, they do not contain alcohol. All other wipes even the sensitive ones have some alcohol in them.) I would put the medicine on the amount of times the doctor told you to do so and in between use Triple paste. Once when I switched the diapers and the wipes I did notice a big difference in 2 diaper changes. It went from Sunburn red to pink and then in two days was completely gone.

Believe it or not ring worm medicine will get rid of it within a few days. I have 4 kids and it seems to work better than any medicine from the doctor. A yeast infection is a fungus so any anti fungal cream will work just remember external use only
