Pain in lower back + previous yeast infection?

ok so about two weeks ago i had a yeast infection and i got over it with and OTC med. the symptoms of the yeast infection are gone now, however i have this throbbing pain in my lower back. it only occurs when i have been seated for a little while then stand up, and it feels almost like there is blood rushing back down to my tailbone (similar to the throbbing when a body part "goes to sleep"). also, while i have had very mild/minor back issues (never gone to the doctor for them) i have never felt anything like this. is this because of healing or something from the Y.I? or is it something else?

1. no i am not about to start on my period. i just got off it.
2. i went to the hospital a few days later for a HORRIBLE/ worst of my life headache/neck-back ache and they did a lumbar puncture and everything was normal.
3. it isnt tingling. like not at all it is just a short 5 or 10 second throb then its gone.

My husband's daughter is sterile because she had a yeast infection that "went too far" and wasn't diagnosed early enough. It destroyed her ovaries. You need to be sure it didn't migrate from the vagina through the fallopian tubes to the ovaries. Sometimes female related probems will register as pain in the lumbar area. Don't assume anything though.

You should not let the back problem go without seeing a doctor. Tingling is never good and means there could be a general loss of feeling or there is pressure on a nerve somewhere in the neck or in the lumbar or sacroilliac areas. At any rate, you should get everything checked out to make sure you get treatment for spinial problems.

Go get tested for a UTI. Ask them to look at it under the microscope and do a culture, not just the dip test. I have had issues with those, and my urologist told me that diptests are not always reliable--they give many false positives and falst negatives. It is highly likely that some bacteria from your other issue could have gotten into your ureter. It may not just be in your bla
dder but could become an upper UTI--in your kidneys, hence "flank pain." Do you have an frequency or urgency issues??

Also, are you about to get your period. A few years ago, I started to get really bad lower back pain right before my period.

If you are clear on those things, go to the orthopedist--see the spine/back specialist, so that he can check things out.

This was probably just a coincidence but I had a Y.I. and got over it by prescription. Just 4 days later I had my first kidney stone. I noticed the pain in my back a few days earlier and it just hit me one morning. If you have had back problems in the past it may just be over working your back. My step dad is a Chiropractor my mom had back surgery...and had an impulse box put in. Then she started going to him and she doesnt even use it anymore!!! :-) If you have insurance that would be a great thing to do for yourself ;-) Good luck. hope this helps
