Has anyone used fluconazole to treat a yeast infection?

i jus got fluconazole for a vaginal yeast infection it says it takes 24 hours to start working i was just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it worked for them or if it made things worse.

Yes I have. Give it the 24 hours to kick in...it worked like a charm for me (many times).

it is a common treatment for yeast infection and has a very good success rate.....you should also avoid sugar (it feeds the yeast) while you have the infection, also caffeine, and alcohol....you should not have sex until the infection has cleared, probiotics can help establish good bacteria to help with the infection also.

I don't have any idea about your problem. However, I came across a blog about yeast infection. Hope you find your answer there.

i think ive been prescribed that as a one day pill, i dont think it worked, because i had to use a seven day treatment of terconazole, to get rid of the yeast infection.

Yes...works wonders, you don't have to deal with the messy creams!! It is the generic to Diflucan (the little pink pill)!! You should feel comlete relief in 48 hours. :-)

It worked for me.
