I already seen my gyno for yeast infection and she gave me a pill and cream to use. after a week later I feel? |
burning feeling again and I think the infection returned. Is this normal. I am not diabetic, I don't take birth control pills or antibiotics. Why am I having this? years ago I had a time when I kept getting them and they would go away and come right back... My dr had me wear just cotton underwear and microwave them before wearing them to kill all bacteria in them, some people have bad reactions to different soaps or anything. The combo of microwave underwear LOL and meds did work though I believe that the pill is for the infection and the cream is to help stop the irritation/burning. What they tell me, is to not wear tight fitting jeans/pants. And to only wear cotton underwear. Any damp/wet clothing should be changed out immedietly! (Like the above has said..sorry...just realized it was already said!) but yea, go back to the doc, or give them a call (whichever is best for you) and let them know. They also have some over the counter products you can use next time (if there is a next time) that way you don't have to go to the doc's all the time. Even though it is better to make sure it really is a yeast infection. But in time, you'll come to realize you know when it is one. You need to go back to the doctor. She is the only person that can tell you for sure. It's possible that the medicine didn't get it all. Or maybe it just needs another day or 2. Sometimes the pill takes longer than one of those inserted cream or ointment vaginal application deals. May need to another form. Call the Gyno to be sure. a pill AND cream? You should only need 1 pill, nothing else and it should clear up. Call back and explain your problem-you shouldn't need any cream. |
