I am 34 weeks pregnant and have a yeast infection. I took Monistat 7 and it burned. What more can I do?

My doctor said to take Monistat 7 and when I did it felt like my vagina was on fire. This yeast infection would come and go for the past 2 1/2 months. I tried just bearing w/ the itch but it's hard. What more can I do?

Go see your doctor!

There is a probiotic supplement called GyNatren that you can find in the refrigerator section of your local health food store. You can also buy it online. This is the only thing I use for yeast infections now. They are vaginal suppository capsules that you put inside and the probiotic kills the yeast. It's VERY safe for pregnancy. I have used it with every one of my last 3 pregnancies. I also use it at the end of pregnancies to kill any Group B that might be in there as well. I have come back negative for group B every time. :) You use it for 2 weeks but I have found that only a few days does the job. I can't afford to buy it alot so I spread it out as much as possible. Also, while you are treating for yeast, watch the sugar intake. Yeast feeds off sugar. . .even in the vaginal area. You will need to take the internal probiotic as well. This will kill the yeast in your digestive tract.

God Bless.

An apple cider vinegar bath every night for three nights. Use about half a cup. Should stop the itching immediately. This is a very inexpensive solution to an irritating problem for women. Go back to your doctor if you need to for more answers. This is very frustrating during pregnancy. Hope this helps ease the pain. Best wishes,

When I was working (oh so long ago!) in a pharmacy, the pharmacist used to recommend inserting natural yohurt into the vagina. It will give you instant relief and bacteria will fight the infection. Of course taking yoghurt orally is good too!!

I think your body is allergic to certain medicines.
Fortunately, natural methods are available to cure Yeast infection permanently.
