Can you get a vaginal yeast infection from using topical antibiotics on your face?

I've been using Clindamycin topical antibiotics on my face for acne, for a few weeks, and I think I might have a vaginal yeast infection. Can the two be related?

Its unlikely that you can get a yeast infection from using that. There are actually several different factors that can lead to the development of a yeast infection. Here are a few examples of yeast infection causes that are relatively common.

Perhaps one of the more common ways that one develops a yeast infection is due to sexual activity with an infected partner. This can involve any type of sexual activity that involves interaction with the area currently carrying the infection. For example, if the mouth or esophagus is infected, the infection can be spread through oral sex. In the event that the genitals are currently infected, it is possible to share the infection with a partner. When someone becomes aware that he or she currently has an active yeast infection, it is a good idea to refrain from sexual activity until the infection is cleared up.

No.....yeast infections are caused by an imbalance of ph levels. You can get them by extra moisture (wearing a wet bathing suit), by using lotions down there, etc. Applying something to your face will not cause one.

unlikely being you are using the topical form......but do go to thedoctor and find out for sure. i use it and have never gotten one.
